God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So, your new life should be like this: Show mercy to others. Be kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Colossians 3:12 ERV

This verse reminds us that our starting point is identity: we are chosen, holy, and dearly loved. From that identity flows behavior, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Imagine putting these on like clothing each morning: they shape how you see others and how you respond to hurt, inconvenience, or conflict. Practically, this means choosing a gentle word over a sharp one, listening before reacting, and offering mercy even when it’s costly. So let our actions reflect who God says we are, not who others expect us to be.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for choosing me and loving me. Clothe me today in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Help my words and actions reflect Your heart so others see Your love through me. Give me courage to choose mercy and grace in every small moment. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious Name Amen.
