Who can accuse the people God has chosen? No one! God is the one who makes them right. Who can say that God’s people are guilty? No one! Christ Jesus died for us, but that is not all. He was also raised from death. And now he is at God’s right side, speaking to him for us. Can anything separate us from Christ’s love? Can trouble or problems or persecution separate us from his love? If we have no food or clothes or face danger or even death, will that separate us from his love? Romans 8:33–35 ERV:

 Be strong and be brave. Don’t be afraid of those people because the Lord your God is with you. He will not fail you or leave you.” Then Moses called Joshua. Just as I was with Moses, I will be with you. No one will be able to stop you all your life. I will not abandon you. I will never leave you. Joshua 1:5 ERV:

Keep your lives free from the love of money. And be satisfied with what you have. God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never run away from you.” Hebrews 13:5 ERV:

God uses trials to refine, not to destroy. When the verse speaks of being tested in the furnace, it reminds us that hardship has a purpose: to remove impurities, strengthen faith, and shape our character. Rather than seeing suffering as punishment, we can view it as a refining process that draws us closer to God and makes our witness brighter. Hold fast to the promise that the Refiner is with you through the heat and that the end result is greater purity and trust. The servant is not greater than his Lord, and as Jesus was tested in the furnace of affliction and persecution, even so it is the furnace that refines us and makes us fit for real service. But always remember, “HE knows our frames and He is our strength in every trial.

“Look, I will make you pure, but not in the way you make silver pure. I will make you pure by giving you troubles. Isaiah 48:10 ERV:

This shows that the seventh-day rest for God’s people is still to come. Hebrews 4:9

This verse of Hebrews 4:9 speaks of a promised Sabbath rest for God’s people, a rest that goes beyond a day on the calendar and points to the peace and completion we find in Christ. Luke 16:17 reminds us that God’s standards and promises are steadfast: it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for God’s word to fail. When life feels hurried or uncertain, these verses invite us to stop striving for approval from shifting things and to anchor ourselves in the enduring truth of God’s promise. Rest is not passivity but a faithful trust: we obey the Word, rely on Christ’s finished work, and let His unchanging truth steady our hearts. Only God’s people can be rest assured. “Come unto me, all who labor, and I will give you rest.”Matthew 11:28–29  “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You for the rest You promise and for a Word that never changes. Help me to lay down my striving, trust Your finished work, and obey what You say today. But even the smallest part of a letter in the law cannot be changed. It would be easier for heaven and earth to pass away. Luke 16:17 ERV:

Small, faithful steps, honest words, humble choices, consistent mercy, prove that God’s kingdom is real in us.

Lord, help me take Your Word seriously and live it out in small, faithful ways. Give me courage to obey where it’s hard, humility to be shaped where I’m proud, and love that shows Your truth in kindness. Amen.

When loss, regret, or seasons of emptiness feel like they’ve taken more than they should, this verse reminds us that God sees what was stolen and promises to make it right. Trusting God means opening our hands to receive what He restores and stepping forward with hope, knowing He is both just and tender in His repair. Hezekiah received the letters from the messengers and read them. Then he went up to the Lord’s Temple and laid the letters out in front of the Lord. 2 Kings 19:14 ERV:

Hezekiah’s response to a crisis is immediate and simple: he takes the threat to God. Instead of reacting in panic or trying to handle it alone, he goes to the temple, lays the enemy’s letter before the Lord, and prays. That act models a faith that brings our fears into God’s presence rather than letting them fester in private. When we name our danger and place it before God, we acknowledge His sovereignty, “You rule over all the kingdoms”, and remind ourselves that the One who made heaven and earth is greater than any human threat. Let this encourage you: prayer is not a last resort but the first, faithful step that reorients our hearts toward God’s power and peace. We should be as wise with the burdens of life! Take them before they take us under. He cares for you.

Lord Father God, I bring what frightens me and the things I cannot control into Your presence. Help me lay my burdens before You with the same honesty and trust Hezekiah showed. Remind me that You rule over every situation and that You are greater than my fears. Give me courage to pray first and rest in Your sovereign care. You can go to God Most High to hide. You can go to God All-Powerful for protection. I say to the Lord, “You are my place of safety, my fortress. My God, I trust in you.” God will save you from hidden dangers and from deadly diseases. Psalm 91: 1-3 ERV:

When the psalmist says, “Whoever lives under the protection of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty,” it’s an image of close, sheltering presence, not distant protection but intimate nearness. Trusting God doesn’t remove danger, but it changes our posture toward it: we stop living in fear and start dwelling in confidence. God as our deliverer from hidden snares and deadly pestilence, reminding us that God sees what we cannot and rescues us in ways beyond our control. Let this passage steady your heart today: choose to dwell, to trust, and to rest under God’s care. Dwelling with God shifts fear into rest because His presence is our shelter and deliverance. As we search for our place in this life, may this be the first one that we find. Everything else will fall in line.

Azariah went to meet Asa and said, “Listen to me, Asa and all you people of Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you look for him, you will find him. But if you leave him, he will leave you. 2 Chronicles 15:2 ERV:
