Then Reuben said to them, “I told you not to do anything bad to that boy, but you refused to listen to me. Now we are being punished for his death.”Genesis 42:22
Reuben reminded his brothers that he had warned them not to harm Joseph. Years later, their guilt still troubled their hearts. This verse teaches us that wrongdoing may be hidden from people, but it is never hidden from God. Yet when conviction comes, God is giving us an opportunity to confess, repent, and seek His forgiveness. Depriving a child of a Christian Home and Christian Training is to sin against the child. Failure to convert them is to a sin against them. Failure to love them is to a sin against them. Do not fail to consider the child lest you find yourself fighting against God and his will.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, I know You, hold us all accountable for our sins, help me listen when You warn my heart. Forgive me for the times I have ignored what was right. Give me courage to confess my sins, make things right, and walk in obedience to You. Love You, thank You, praise, You and give You all the honor and glory in Your mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
