This simple commandment carries a deep truth:“ (You must not steal anything. Exodus 20:15) God values trust, honor, and respect between people. Stealing is more than taking an object, it breaks relationship, wounds community, and dishonors the God who provides for His children. ( ‘You must not steal. Deuteronomy 5:19) When God says, “You shall not steal,” He is inviting us into a life where we do not grasp for what is not ours, because we trust Him to supply what we need. He calls us to live with open hands, honest hearts, and integrity that reflects His character. When others take from us whether possessions, peace, or dignity, God sees. Nothing stolen escapes His notice. He is the God who restores, the God who defends, the God who makes wrong things right in His time. This commandment is not just a boundary; it is a reminder that God Himself is our Provider, and we can walk in honesty, generosity, and peace.
Father God, teach me to walk in integrity and trust. Guard my heart from grasping for what is not mine and help me honor You in every choice I make. Where others have taken from me, bring Your healing and restoration. Make me a person who reflects Your honesty, Your goodness, and Your peace. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name, Amen.
