Those who bring peace to other people help them to live together in peace. As a result, people choose to do what is right and good. James 3:18 Easy
“And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” At its heart this verse links right living with peacemaking: righteousness is not merely a private moral scorecard, but a harvest produced where peace is cultivated. Commentators explain that the person who pursues peace, who calms conflict, seeks reconciliation, and bears the humble spirit of Christ, is the one who “sows” the conditions for righteousness to grow. The image is agricultural: sowing in peace yields a harvest of righteous fruit.
Father God, make me a peacemaker. Give me the humility to listen, the courage to speak truth in love, and the patience to sow peace where there is conflict. Let Your peace rule my heart so that the fruit of righteousness may grow through me, justice, mercy, and faithful love. When I am tempted to react in anger or withdraw in fear, remind me that sowing in peace is Your way of bringing lasting good. Use my small, faithful steps to bring Your healing and to love You, thank You, praise You and Honor and glorify Your name in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
