The king said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire. They are not tied up and they are not burned. The fourth man looks like an angel.” Daniel 3:25

When King Nebuchadnezzar looked into the blazing furnace, he expected to see death and defeat. Instead, he saw four men walking unharmed, and the fourth looked like an angel. That scene points us to a deeper truth: God does not always remove the fire, but He does come into it. In our worst moments, when fear, loss, or pain surround us, God is present with us, steadying, protecting, and giving courage. For Christians, the fourth figure also points forward to Jesus: not only is He with us in suffering, but He also enters it on our behalf. We can face trials with hope because the One who walks through the flames with us is greater than the flames themselves.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for walking with me through the fire. When life feels overwhelming, remind me that You are present, protecting and comforting me. Give me courage to trust You in the hard places and eyes to see Your hand at work. Help me rest in Your presence today, knowing You are greater than every trial. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
