This shows that the seventh-day rest for God’s people is still to come. Hebrews 4:9 ERV:
God’s promise of rest isn’t merely a future reward; it’s a present invitation to stop striving and trust Him. When we try to earn peace by our own effort, we miss the quiet assurance that comes from resting in Christ’s finished work. Entering that rest means trading anxiety for faith, busyness for obedience, and self-reliance for dependence on the One who holds tomorrow. Today, pause for a moment: breathe, name one worry, and hand it to God. Let one small choice, a prayer, a kind word, a deliberate Sabbath pause, be your step into the rest He offers.
Father God, thank You and praise You for the Sabbath-rest You promise. Help me to stop striving and to trust Your care. Give me the courage to lay down my burdens and the faith to rest in Your presence. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Name Lord Jesus Amen and Amen.
