In therapy and healing, we often feel like we’re “starting over.” But as the saying goes, you aren’t starting from scratch; you’re starting from experience. Be patient with yourself. Healing is a quiet, radical act of rebellion against the things that tried to break you.
Healing can feel like you’ve been dropped back at the beginning, but God knows better. You are not starting over, you are starting from experience. Every boundary learned, every truth faced, every moment you chose to keep breathing has become wisdom in your hands. Healing is not weakness; it is a quiet, holy defiance against the things that tried to break you. God meets you in the process, lighting each step and strengthening what once felt fragile. You are rebuilding with knowledge you didn’t have before, and grace is guiding you forward.
Psalm 18:28 (KJV) For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
Father God, remind me that I am not beginning again empty‑handed. Shine Your light on the places I’m still learning to heal. Give me patience with my process, courage to keep moving, and the grace to see how far You’ve already carried me. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
