Jesus said to the father, “Why did you say, ‘if you can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.” Mark 9:23 ERV:
A desperate father brought his suffering son to Jesus, hoping for help but struggling with doubt. Jesus gently shifted the focus from the size of the problem to the power of faith. He reminded the father that God can do what seems impossible when we trust Him. This verse does not mean we can get anything we want by simply believing harder. Rather, it teaches that no situation is beyond God’s power. Faith places our impossible circumstances into the hands of the One who can do all things according to His will. When fear, uncertainty, or hardship comes, Jesus invites us to trust Him. Even weak faith can reach a mighty Savior. Like the father who responded, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief,” we can honestly bring both our faith and our doubts to Him. Daring Christians are a delight to the Lord Jesus.
Dear Lord Jesus, help me to trust You more each day. When my faith feels weak and my problems seem overwhelming, remind me that nothing is impossible for You. Strengthen my heart to believe Your promises and rest in Your power. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
