He said, “ Abba, Father! You can do all things. Don’t make me drink from this cup. But do what you want, not what I want.” Mark 14:36 ERV

A symbol of suffering. Jesus used the idea of drinking from a cup to mean accepting the suffering he would face in the terrible events that were soon to come. We sometimes fear the will of God as though He has forgotten something. He is mindful, merciful and has never made a mistake and is working all things out for our good and His glory. We praise You oh Lord Jesus!

Abba, Father God, You can do all things. Help me trust You when life is difficult and I want a different path. Give me the strength to surrender my will to Yours, knowing that Your plans are good. Teach me to say with faith, “Not what I want, but what You want.” In the Mighty Name of Jesus love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory Amen.
