“Tell this to the Israelites: You might do something wrong to another person. When you do that, you are really sinning against God. So, you are guilty of doing wrong.  You must confess that sin. Then you must fully pay for that wrong thing you did. You must add one-fifth to the payment and give it all to the person you had done wrong to. Numbers 5:6–7 ERV:

These verses remind Israel to remove anything that causes uncleanness from the camp and to confess wrongs and make restitution. This passage calls us to honest self-examination: sin isn’t only a private matter; it affects the community. God’s holiness invites us to clear away what corrupts our relationships and worship. Confession and restitution aren’t merely legal steps; they’re healing acts that restore trust, repair harm, and open space for God’s presence to dwell freely among us. When we admit our faults and take responsibility, we mirror God’s restorative heart and help the whole community flourish.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, give me courage to see what’s hidden, humility to confess what’s wrong, and the strength to make things right. Cleanse my heart and restore any relationships I’ve harmed. Help me remove anything that keeps Your presence from dwelling among us. Teach me to live honestly and lovingly for the good of others and for Your honor and glory. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
