This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must happen soon. And Christ sent his angel to show it to his servant John, who has told everything he saw. It is the truth that Jesus Christ told him; it is the message from God. Great blessings belong to the person who reads the words of this message from God and to those who hear this message and do what is written in it. There is not much time left. Revelation 1:1-3 ERV
John introduces Revelation as a revelation from Jesus Christ, given to show his servants what must soon take place. The book begins with a promise: those who read, hear, and keep what is written are blessed. This blessing points to a faith that listens and obeys, not merely knowing facts about the future, but living in readiness and faithfulness now. The vision’s urgency invites us to pay attention: God speaks into hard times so his people can stand firm and live with hope.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for revealing truth to guide and strengthen us. Give me ears to hear, courage to obey, and faith to live ready for Your coming. Bless those who seek and keep Your word; let it shape how we live today as we read and study Your word. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Jesus Amen.
