But you are not ruled by your sinful selves. You are ruled by the Spirit, if that Spirit of God really lives in you. But whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Christ. Romans 8:9 ERV

You belong to the Spirit. Paul reminds us that being a follower of Christ means the Spirit of God lives in you, and that presence defines your identity more than your past failures or present struggles. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us (read Romans 8:26-27) I believe. This truth brings both comfort and call: comfort because you are not left to fight sin on your own; call because the Spirit empowers you to think, choose, and act in ways that reflect Jesus. Let this reality shape your day, receive the Spirit’s guidance, rely on His strength, and remember that your true life is found in Him.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You that Your Spirit lives in me and makes me Yours. Fill me now with Your presence, guide my thoughts and choices, and give me the courage to live by You rather than by my old ways. Help me reflect You today.
