Jesus saw the many people and felt sorry for them because they were worried and helpless—like sheep without a shepherd to lead them. Matthew 9:36 ERV

Jesus looked at the crowds and was moved with deep compassion because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. That compassion reveals God’s heart for people who are lost, anxious, or leaderless. When we notice others’ weariness, our first response should be empathy that leads to action, listening, praying, and offering practical help. Ask God to give you eyes to see needs around you and courage to be a small, steady shepherd in someone’s life today.

Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for Your compassion. Open my eyes to the hurting around me and fill me with Your power and love. Help me to bring comfort, guidance, and practical care so no one feels alone. Use my hands, words, and time to point others to You. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious Name Amen.
