But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done. 1 John 1:9 ERV

Confession is not a one‑time admission but a posture of honesty before God. This verse promises two things: God’s faithfulness to forgive and His cleansing that removes the stain of sin. When we bring our failures into the light, we stop hiding and start healing. Forgiveness restores our standing with God; cleansing begins the work of changing our hearts so we can walk in truth. Trusting this promise frees us from shame and invites ongoing renewal.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, I confess what I have done and who I have been. Thank You for Your faithfulness to forgive and for Your power to cleanse me. Help me live in the light of Your truth, turn from what harms me, and walk daily in the newness You give.
