But you should do this: “If you have enemies who are hungry, give them something to eat. If you have enemies who are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this you will make them feel ashamed. “Don’t let evil defeat you but defeat evil by doing good.” Romans 12:20-21
These verses call us to break the cycle of harm by answering evil with good. When an enemy is hungry, feed them; when thirsty, give them drink, small acts that refuse revenge and invite transformation. Trusting God to repay frees us from bitterness and lets grace reshape relationships; overcoming evil with good is both a witness and a way of life.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, give me the courage to meet wrong with mercy and the strength to do good when I am hurt. Replace my desire for revenge with a heart that trusts Your justice and practices Your love. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious Name Amen.
