Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory for this new day. Thank You for Psalm 7 about the example that David set when he was pursued by his enemies, falsely accused, and persecuted for righteousness’ sake. Thank You that my hope is in You and that You are ‘the Lord my righteousness’. Thank You for Your promise to vindicate all Your people who are unjustly accused or have been hotly pursued by the enemy of our soul. Give me a heart that trusts You no matter what difficulties or dangers may cross my path and I pray that like David, my hope will be built on nothing less than the Lord Jesus Christ and His perfect righteousness. (I will thank the Lord for his righteousness; I will sing about the name of the Lord Most High. Psalm 7:17) Thank You that my salvation does not depend on what I have done, but on who Christ is and He is my all and all and what He has done on my account. As You have blessed all with a righteousness embrace, even the righteousness of God represent to him, by which he is expressed righteous, and with the forgiveness of his sins; so You will bless him with peace and prosperity, with all spiritual blessings, with the blessings of grace here, and glory hereafter… Help us to live one day at a time and enjoy each gift You have given us.
