"Prayer to Care"

Category Archives: Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 NIV

A Time for Everything.
There is a time for everything,
And a season for every activity under the heavens:
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal,
A time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
A time to search and a time to give up,
A time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend,
A time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate,
A time for war and a time for peace.
What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him. Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account. And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment—wickedness was there, in the place of justice—wickedness was there. I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?” So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?

“Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows the fire of coals And brings out a weapon for its work; And I have created the destroyer to ruin. No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 54:16-17″
If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. “Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.…
2 Chronicles 7:13-15}

Father God, Thank You for being our shield and our strength. No weapon formed against us will prosper, because You are our defender and our vindication.

We humble ourselves before You. We seek Your face. We turn from all that grieves Your heart. Forgive us, Lord. Heal our land.

Let Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to the prayers we offer in this place. We trust You. We honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love you and thank you for this new day to live for you. Lord Jesus, I delight in your works and reflect on the wonder of your gracious deeds. You have been loving and compassionate to many generations. You have shown your people over and over again your almighty power. Thank you for all you do for us, especially for being our redeemer. I thank you, praise and give you all the honor and glory Lord Jesus. Amen.

Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is Honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endures forever.

Psalm 70

MAKE HASTE, O GOD, TO DELIVER ME; MAKE HASTE TO HELP ME, O LORD.
Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love you and thank you for this new day to breathe. Lord Jesus, hear the prayers of others, there are so many prayer needs out in the world, that you see them all Father. Listen to their cry for mercy. In the day of their trouble may they call to you, believing and knowing you will answer them. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; You alone are God. I thank you, praise and give you all the honor and glory Lord Jesus. Amen.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love you and thank you for this new day of victory in Jesus. Thank you that I can serve you many ways in righteousness. Thank you for my joy in this life. Lord Jesus, I pray for the wisdom, the courage and the piety to choose your ways and Your will. Eve helped to condemn the world and lived a life of defeat. But in forgetting herself, Mary discovered victory and brought new promise to generations to come. You sent Jesus to save the world. Thank you for the model we have in Mary, a woman of devotion and selflessness. I thank you, praise and give you all the honor and glory Lord Jesus. Amen

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love you and thank you for this new day. Praise you Lord Jesus, that grace and truth come to us through You. Help us to believe the evidence of Your presence in all that we do and to realize once more Your promise to be with those who keep Your commandments. I thank You, praise and give you all the honor and glory Lord Jesus. Amen

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love you, thank you and praise you for sharing my humanity of life. I thank you for the sacrifice you made that I may live. Thank you for fulfilling every promise you have made, even those made long ago, now and you know our future. I ask for the will to faithfully and gratefully serve you through this day and all my days. I thank you, praise and give you all the honor and glory Lord Jesus. Amen.

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning.
I love you and thank you for this new day. Lord Jesus, work through me today with your conquering love, so that we together, You and I, can invite others to ‘Come and See.’ That they may grow stronger in the light of Your grace and love. I thank you, praise and give you all the honor and glory Lord Jesus. Amen.

———————-
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love you and thank you for this new day to live, pray, love and care about others as you guide them in my path. How pleasant it is , Lord Jesus, to praise your name, for you are both good and great. Thank you that what pleases you is also your will for my well being. Thank you for the amazing grandeur of your creation that I see in storms and in peaceful days of sunshine. I thank you, praise and give you all the honor and glory Lord Jesus. Amen.

For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places. He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
Psalm 135:5-7
