Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, good morning. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory for this new day to breathe which is a gift from You. Lord Jesus, too often my mind is distracted from You onto the things of this world, especially when times are hard, sad and depressing. National Day of Prayer should be every moment of each day.

Some call this the prayer of an unknown confederate soldier; others say it was found on the body of a World War one soldier. The author is lost. I have no doubt that this prayer is the cry of all our hearts, especially in light of world events.

I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy.

I was given poverty that I might be wise.
