“And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea.” Mark 5:13 KJV
When Jesus gives permission, what has tormented must leave. The spirits rush out violently, not because the man is lost, but because deliverance is decisive. What once occupied him has no place to remain. The destruction happens away from the man, not within him. This verse reminds us that freedom may look dramatic, even costly, but restoration is always gentle. Jesus does not negotiate with what harms us. He removes it completely and leaves us whole. The man is no longer defined by what bound him. He is seated, clothed, and restored. What could not stay is gone.
Father God, praise You and thank You for Your authority to remove what does not belong in us. Where fear, bondage, or torment once lived, speak Your freedom and peace. Help us trust that when You deliver, You do so fully and with purpose. Leave us restored, whole, and at rest in You. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
