Psalm 2:7: Easy-to-Read Version

Let me tell you about the Lord’s agreement:
He said to me, “Today I have become your father,
    and you are my son.

Psalm 2 is a prophetic psalm pointing straight to Jesus. Long before Bethlehem, long before the cross, God declared that His Son would be the true King, not just over Israel, but over every nation and every heart. This psalm reminds us that the world may rage, rulers may plot, and people may resist God’s ways, but heaven is not shaken. God has already set His King in place. Jesus reigns with authority, mercy, and unshakable peace. Psalm 2 invites us to do what the world often refuses: bow our hearts, trust His leadership, and find refuge in Him.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, You, are the King the Father promised long ago. When the world feels loud and unsettled, remind me that Your throne is steady and Your love is sure. Teach me to trust Your leadership, to rest in Your strength, and to take refuge in Your name. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious name Amen.
